Second NEA-15 batch yet?

The 14.5" barrel / 12" rails are on back order. The 14.5" barrel / 9" quadrail rifles have been shipped from NEA to SFRC, but they are still a preorder. That stock number is just the alloted amount of preorders. I think...

That is correct. As well the people that ordered a 14.5" with 12" rail will be called and get first crack at the 9" railed ones.

You answered your own question.
If nea or ryan could pull a 12 inch rail out of there ass I'm sure they would do it.

I don't understand...aren't NEA the manufacturer? Why would they make a bunch of 9" rails before fulfilling orders that have been in place since September? And if the 10.5" guns use a 9" rail, why wouldn't these rails be used on those guns first? These were supposed to release October 9th...this is getting a bit ridiculous.

If you look in the NEA forum you'll see that they scrapped 200 12" rails as they changed them slightly. This is what caused the delay.

If I had to guess... Again... It's that now they don't have 10.5" barrels. They are doing the best they can with what they have. Hence combining two barrel lengths and rail lengths that weren't really meant to be combined in the first place. That's why NEA doesn't have the 14.5"/9" setup on their website. And they are just getting anything they can out at this point.

How can they be out of 10.5" barrels if they haven't sold any yet?

Ryan, I understand that try scrapped 200 12" rails but why start production on updated 9" rails before completing the orders that have been standing since September? Maybe I just don't get it but if they're the manufacturer, shouldn't they be in control of production?

I'm not trying to sound confrontational but I've been fully supportive of NEA since the beginning but it's getting a little old.

You'll have to ask them but I'm assuming they already had the 9" rails in production when they decided to scrap the 12" ones.

They did release some 10.5" barels to some of the early pre-orders. There are a few Nutz that got theirs already.

Maybe cptseawolf will chime in to gloat some more.:p He got his a month ago.:ang3:(

If you read this. Yes I am still waiting... However Ryan will be filling the order now.w:h:

Ryan, none of this is directed at you. Just frustrated with NEA is all.

They released 12 of them. Canada wide release after multiple demo days across the country and they have 12 barrels ready?

Actually there is was more demand for 10.5" on my end. Just wait, they should be ready soon, I just don't want to give dates again in case I am wrong.

.. we sold all of our first batch of 10.5 barrels in builds here and abroad as well as in stripped barrels.

The initial batch of 12" rails were binned because people didn't like the looks of them.. so that slowed things down a bit in the shop. The 2nd batch of rails were split between dealers here and parked on builds of other clients. Because we run many products at a time on multiple machines it's not just a matter of spitting out more 12" rails right away. They get manufactured and plated all together, it's not a matter of just breaking off a dozen of them to fill an order.

We're doing what we can to keep up with demand.

You think we only made 12 barrels.. where did you hear that from?? That's absurd.

The first rifles ready were 14.5's with 12" rails. 9" rails weren't ready at that time for Canadian distribution. Now we have 9" rails and no 10.5" barrels, but have 9" rails in stock. We're trying to make the best with what we have at hand.

We also had export certs come back early which bumped a couple domestic orders.

In the meantime what we can do is try and fill orders with what we have until all products are back in stock. If you're waiting on a model that is not in stock, we're doing what we can to get them ready. We have upped production and inventory. We hope to have all these supply issues sorted out shortly. Frankly we underestimated demand and have been caught behind.

That's what I don't understand. How did you sell all your 10.5" barrels when almost nobody who pre ordered received one? I've been pre ordered since Sept 7th and still don't even have a date on when you'll have them ready let alone out to the dealers.

Once bitten, twice shy eh?:p

Can't say I blame you for that approach.

Please tell me some of the "in stock" 9" rails are reserved for when the 10.5" barrels are done. We wouldn't want to see you stuck with a bunch of 10.5" barrels and only 12" rails on hand next. :p

We'll shortly be swimming in components. We hope that we won't have a repeat of these production woes.

It's all growing pains with a new product, and we're doing what we can to sort it out.

My personal focus has been on getting CQB's back in stock.. I harass the shop several times a week for you guys.
