Well it wasnt really a major disaster but I took my SU-16 that I bought last week out today. Had a coyote come running in and about 40 yards I let a round fly....jam. I go to clear and re chamber and the stinkin round won't chamber. By then the coyote is long gone. So I clear out the action again, chamber a round, boom...jam. Now this really sucks. I proceed to clear out and rechamber and take another shot. "Boom", next thing I know the bottom of my magazine is blown out and the spring is dangling down (XCR 10 rounder) At this point I pack it up and search for my brass. Low and behold everyone has the primer punched out. What a piss off of a day. This rifle sucks bag.
On a positive note Wolverine was most excellent in dealing with, told me to send it back for a full refund. Excellent service!! Will post some pics soon.

Cheers!!

That's very interesting. I just put another couple hundred through mine and it's never even had a hiccup. What ammunition are you using??

Are you the same guy who started a thread about your su16 punching out primers at the range? If so, why in gods name would you take it hunting!!!!! You knew it had issues, you were told to send it back for warranty work, and yet you took it hunting........ Nominee for a Darwin award?

Think you need the darwin award for not being able to read or comprehend at your age?? Go back and read the other post and look at the OP....you'll see it was not scott_r.

So you knew about the issue? I stand by my comment.

No I did not know my rifle would blow primers when I purchased it. And I did not shoot the rifle at the range and have this issue.
Have I had a semi auto jam before...absolutley Have I had a blown primer before..never. I figured it was a couple jams maybe due to OAL of the round I loaded. But your pompus ass feels the need to hurl insults....wow. Class act man.

Scott_r reloads?

Yes they were reloads.

25 grs Benchmark
Rem Primers (??)
OAL 2.260

I honestly thought my OAL was too long and this was causing a jam never thought to hunt down a piece of brass after 1 shot to look for a punched primer. Who hasnt had a jam in a semi auto other then the select few pompus a-hats on board here.

Anyway, glad to hear most are working 100% its was really nice and light to carry to my coyote stand this a.m. Im just posting this to let other know that if you're SU-16 jams after the first shot...check your primer. Hell the other guy who posted his SU-16 punching primers out on the range had soemthing like 40 rounds through it before he picked it up.

Cheers!!

Yo I alwayz knew dem K-Tel guns was wack. Dey be fo poor ppl wit no chedda.

Word.

That being said, I have very little "chedda," and I'm planning on buying one of "dem K-Tel guns" even if they are "wack."

Glad to hear about the good service from Wolverine. That's going to be my source once I get together my "chedda."

I was thinking the load might be to hot, as your mag was blow out, what gr projectile did you use?

2.260 is a little long according to my reloading book

I have shot 1200 rounds (no reloads) and not had any issues at all, i have had good experience with kel-tec products, su-16 and sub2k.
