150gr ballistic tip in 30 30

I was wondering if anyone has any plinking loads for the 30 30 using 150gr ballistic tips. I have IMR 4064 and IMR 4895 available.

and yes I know about the tubular magazines and pointy bullets. this is just for the range for some fun.

I was just wondering if there would be a difference in pressures from the flat nose reg 30-30 bullets compared to the ballistic tips. I have seen the reg 150gr loads but i want to be safe. sorry if it sounds like a stupid question but my son who is 12 will be shooting with me.

Not a stupid Q, but use starting loads for 150 grainers FN and you'll be fine

Don't load the pointy in the mag because if the OAL is too long it won't load into the chamber and will tie up the gun. If the OAl is the same as a FN, then you can use the mag (for 1).
