Drool away!

If you look at how U.S. manufacturers have tried to keep the Canadian market by adapting to fit our (stupid) laws isn't it possible that a cash-hungry state like Russia might see the profit in tweeking some internals?

One word, Variant. And it pisses me off. You know the RCMP will can anything that even smells like an AK. I'd rather put my money on a three legged rocking horse at the race track. I think we would be better off to start a serious drive through CSSA and NFA to unrestrict the AR platform. I love the red guns as much as anyone, maybe more in fact but the AK is working against the "Bad Guy Gun" stigma and the obsessive housewives and soccer moms of Toronto will hang onto that like a dog with a bone.

A lot of those stupid laws are on the US side, the export ones anyway.

I really hope the registry is gone soon too, but til then it really sticks in my craw that most of the civilized and ALL of the uncivilized world have access to some fantastic new 'toys'. Nevermind the scads of beautiful museum pieces from the old eastern bloc that have been legislated as unattainable for MOST of us.
