I found this receipt and I almost puked. Seriously. Why was I so stupid?

I bought a BM-59 for under $700 in 1988 with a 20 (not pinned) round magazine. I sold it shortly after. Then I lost my prohibited status when C-68 came in too.

i went the other way- jumped through all the hoops and still have my 12(3)btw- i hope that's an old receipt as it has your name and phone number on it

I'm too depressed to worry about it. I don't even have a picture of that gun.

God knows where that gun is today, but I remember begging my girlfriend at the time to loan me the cash to buy it. She did.

f**k. Mine came with a 20 round mag too. I was in high school, what did I know? Back then buying guns was like buying chocolate bars, you paid and walked out with it.

I feel even sicker. :(

Here's the good news. If you owned it today you couldn't shoot it. The magazine would be pinned to 5 rounds. Whatever you got for it when you sold it is far more than the current owner would get for it today. :mad:

The Conservatives have a majority and we have a real opportunity to reverse things like this.
 
I feel your pain too Jeff... I had a metric [Belgian-made] FAL and a bunch of odds and ends [some _30_ round FN mags that I altered to fit] that I sold when I thought I needed the money. Fortunately I bought an L1A1 before the the prohib rules were established...

I see no reason whatsoever for full-sized rifles of any type to be prohibited. We should start working on this the instant the LGR is finally repealed...[and no, I'm not saying anything else should be prohibited...I'm just willing to take baby steps to get the ball rolling].
