And then i put a scope on it

Nice. They are fun guns. I go through boxes of 500 rounds like popcorn. Cheap fun.

That wood stock will be a nice match for the scope. My kid and I got tired of blasting away randomly and now spend most of the time hunkered down trying for accuracy and distance. Something more rewarding that way.

Mr Freeze is right....the scope will fit & become more practical if you put it with the wood stock. I am sure, once you do that you will appreciate how well it shoots.
It's a great little gun which you will enjoy for years to come without hurting your wallet.

Shot the ruger today, not at paper just at my range on steel, so i have no idea what kind of groups im getting. but i tell you its not as good as the trusty cz. I am going to put it back in the wood stock and float the barrel. after shooting with that folding stock i do not like it at all. ha ha. I made a few hits at 500. but it took 20 shots to do it. stand by for a real range report soon

Take that stock wood stock and make yourself a nice target stock out of it. Instead of glass bedding it use a Rimfire Technologies bedding kit, they are the only way to go IMHO.

Top gun is a stock 10/22 wood stock I modified slightly.

I like that stock alot. did you do that??

I shot the gun some more with some proper bags. shoots ok. i was hitting a 6 inch target at 213 yards with blazer ammo 8 out of 10 shots. I also took a few more shots at 500. the blazers shoot alot flatter then the rem subsoncis i tried the first time. I was doing double taps at 500. very cool bam bam...... wait.... ting ting... lol

Clayne,
Yeah, some of my work. It's a real easy way to build a custom stock without having to do any inletting. You'll love your 10/22 for sure. Maybe not a target gun but fairly accurate once you find the ammo it likes. Make sure you try AE bulk in it, all of mine like it and it's cheap. 6" target at 213 is good shooting for a stock gun but how much holdover did you need? . What size is your target at 500?

Zeroed at 213!! Wow, you must be like 20"+ high at 50yds like that. You didn't need a 10 or 20 MOA base for that? You must have a lot of vertical adjustment in that scope.

Im drooling over the Fluted barrel!! not to mention the stock. Im going to make the 10/22 my first 22Lr by the middle of this week definitely. Next is the Fluted bull barrel...maybe after the holidays.
