A while back someone modified a B&T SIG550 rail to fit the VZ58, does anyone know if we'll be seeing something similar in the near future? NEA's rails are nice, but don't offer enough rail estate. I'm looking for a rail that extends past the gas block.

Cheers,
Alex

I guess I did not word my original post adequately. I want a rail that extends further then the gas block. The rails I've seen on BC tactical do not offer more then NEA's.

BC tactical needs to make their rail milspec. F**k that cutout rail s**t.

I dunno why somebody doesnt just make a rail that extends past the gasblock and bolts onto the barrel ala NEA's railed barrel clamp. Cross pin at the back, clamp at front, blue loctite, profit. Infact, if NEA would make a rail like this that paired up with their railed clamp, that would be the absof**kinglute t**s.

Krebs' KTR rail attaches to the gasblock I believe, make a rail that would work with the top half of the barrel clamp.

Anyone know who has the rails in? Every site says out of stock. Plan to extend it with another rail so that it pins into where the rear site is, so wud b locked down to the stock adaptor an pined in where the rear site is, anyone tired this?? Of course tapered on the bottom so cases are deflected out .

Rails

You know that's just what this rifle needs is more rails. And then we can get rail adapters to attach more rails to our rails. If we are really lucky we can get that sight offset up around the ridiculous hight of a Tavor and add another ten pounds to the rifle.
More training and less beDazzling is needed.

Rails 2

If you have an idea for an accessory for your rifle system, nothing is stopping you from taking your idea to any reputable machine shop that uses 'solid works' or any similar program, and simply getting it made, testing it and selling it.
If it's not available, build it yourself.
I have done this several times and it's very satisfying.

Gentlemen:

My search-fu as of late has been very week.

Does BC Tactical have a forum here on the board??

Edit:

Please disregard, I found their website.

Alex:

The rails you are talking about were modified/adapted by our very own DMcFaul, who is now, in the Employ of North Eastern Arms.

I will say that it took a very brave man to do this, as a proper set of B & T Rails for the 550 rifle will set you back well over $600.

The rails you were talking about looked like this:

now with a fake supressor

A very interesting set up indeed.
