CSW 556- Thoughts?

I dunno, when it comes to firearms I have never cared at all about aesthetics.

Well that's not true, when talking about black and red rifles I don't care. Hunting rifles and handguns is different.

I am actually surprised how many people care so much about aesthetics. Did you watch the video of it? I was pretty impressed by the break down and the that it can change barrels and calibers easily.

It has a certain "Sten" aspect about it. Simple and cheap to manufacture, simple and cheap to maintain, but still gets the job done.

Im going based just on looks mind you.

Not even Magpul can salvage this turd...
:puke:

Seems like most black rifle owners care more about form over function ,, I don't care how cool a gun looks or how much magpul is bolted on to it .. Im more worried about reliably, quality ,accuracy, ergonomics and price .. looks are like 10% for me.. if this rifle has these qualities its far from a ''turd'' ,, until someone here can shoot one lots and make a honest review calling it a ''turd'' is a bit stupid.. Remember treating firearms ownership like a fashion show is a very bad mistake .. people once said the AK 47 was butt ugly but its far from a ''turd'' .. some of the best firearms ever made were once considered ugly before they proved themselves in the field..

I'm sorry if I've offended your sensitivities, but the only redeeming features of this gun is that it's a) black, b) takes AR magazines and c) probably cheap. There is zero aftermarket expandability whatsoever (stock, grip, BUIS). I would take the tactical version of the SU-16 over this any day of the week.

Im not offended a bit lol just stating my opinion on observations I've made .. Why would you need to replace the stock , grip and BUIS of a rifle if the factory ones are functional in the first place? cool factor?.. Im guessing this all steel rifle is far better than the low grade plastic SU16 .. but we don't really know till we get our hands on one .. all i know is the Czechs don't make crappy guns , they never have .. I can't say the same for Kel tec ..

Well, for starters - you might want a collapsible (LOP) or folding stock (LOP, overall length), an adjustable grip for different hand sizes - and you may not want to run any BUIS at all. Rails for a vertical grip or light are additional considerations as is the desire for weight reduction. Everyone has the potential to make a crappy gun. For the Czechs - this could be it...

I think the form over function issue is a bit over rated. For me, it's a given that a firearm works and reliably so. I don't want to buy a gun that has problems. Otherwise, it doesn't make a damn bit of difference how good it may look. Having said that, this rifle is rather crude in appearance. I personally wouldn't be interested in this for anywhere near the prices being thrown around here. Especially, when there are other competing products that not only function well but look good too.

I get a big kick out of guys here setting fantasy market prices on things they've never seen - nor used. You dummies might as well just drop your drawers and take it without lube while you're at it... :p
