Considering buying a Sako A7 in .243 but have read a lot of reviews about cartridges popping out out of clip. Other than this it sounds like an awesome gun. Most problem reviews I read were for 300 WM. Anybody know if Sako fixed the problem?

Was at the shooting range last summer with a guy who was shooting a brand new A7 that he purchased from LeBarons. I can't remember the caliber but, it was just as you said, cartridges popping out all over the place. I'd really look one over well before I'd buy one.

Mine in 300wsm has two mags and both are fine. The Tikka in 7mag was known to do this as well. And all the people I heard of that this happened to had there mags replaced by the dealers and the new ones were good.

I've got a buddy with an A7 in 30-06 who has that problem - happened this year when he hopped out of the truck to shoot a blacktail. managed to single feed the gun to tak a couple of shots - what a gong show!!!

No problem to report on my A7 in 300WSM. I would think on the odd chance you got a faulty mag, the service centre should replace it under warranty.

I have seen two different a7's in 7mm Rem have this problem. After about 5 or 6 different magazines (all supposedly new and issues solved) sent from stoeger 2 worked for the guys. Other than the 30-06 mentioned above I haven't heard of it happening in any other caliber. Just make sure you buy from a shop that has good customer service incase you have to deal with getting new / different mag's.

IF, you can afford the extra pennies, skip the A7 and go straight to the 85. It's worth the extra investment.

Can't agree more!
