I'm thinking of buying a .22cal based on the 1911 platform. Which one of these is the better one to buy or are there other options out there?

Thanks for the posts and info.
Can only comment on the GSG, and it will most likely have ONE issue. I have owned a GSG in the past, and another range bro also has one with lots of rounds through it, so I speak from experience.
The Guide Rod will most likely break on ya, it's just aluminum and simply not up to the task. Mine sheared at the base, and my bro's has also sheared in the same location.
It is a weak link on the pistol. It just is.
It's aluminum and should be steel to match the rest of the pistol![]()
And it was not us installing it incorrectly either, we both have experience.
Secondly, you'll have to get a replacement form Blue Line. Myself and my buddy waited 1 month + to get it (his happened 6 months after mine btw). I'm not busting balls but neither of us will do business with them again.
If they say one week it means 1+ month. If they say they mailed out 3 to you already when you call after 3 weeks, that translates into they have JUST shipped one out after your call.
My bro had the EXACT same experience. We laugh about it. (btw, neither of our other 2 previously mailed out replacements ever turned up)
Better than North Silva, but not by much, if that makes any sense to you
(I won't even comment on my PARA/North Silva experience. You'd be better off getting gang banged by your local pant sagging thugs at the corner store. TOTAL ineptitude)
So there you have itAll true too.
In conclusion, the GSG is a great piece, and feels/shoots SOOO good, but if you decide to get one, get a back up guide rod or two asap. Plus be willing to deal with a supplier who obviously does not stock parts.
I do want to apologize for any past dealings with regards to any GSG products or any service from Blue Line.
I have been with the company several months now and our supply of spare parts from Germany has increased in this time.
We do have a full stock on the majority of spare parts which have been needed for the GSG 1911, I apologize again for any delays caused by stock in the past.
I would like to hear more about your experience and see if there is anything we can do to restore your thoughts on the services from Blue Line. Please email me at rpatterson@blueline-activities.com. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
If anyone has any questions or concerns with regards to any issues with any GSG products or any services provided by Blue Line please feel free to contact me directly.
We are a growing company and as with all companies there have been some growing pains in the past, I cannot comment on issues which have happened in the past but I can work on ensuring that issues like this do not happen again in the future.

As far as the gun goes, one of my favourite. I have about 7000 rounds through it and it gets better every time I go to the range. My guide rod did break at about the 3000 round mark and as mentioned above, it took a LONG time to get a replacement (almost 2 months). I was also told that they had shipped it and CP had lost it. The first time, maybe...but 3 times???
Ryan, I'm glad that you posted here and I hope your supply troubles are over. I wouldn't have minded if you guys had just told me you didn't have any in stock but to #### me around for months is unacceptable.
