Good looking rifle, but what are those wedges in your mags?
They're LAR-15 Mag couplers. 2 LAR15 Mags make the same(ish) profile as a standard 30 rnd AR mag.
What he said. We have an idiotic 5 round limit rifle mags, but pistol allowed to have 10. Those are 2 coupled LAR pistol mags.

I finally picked up my NEW NP3 ASA yesterday and had to start the transformation this morning
Out of the box

The parts collected...All CGN dealers and members supplied

To this point magpul MOE grip,magpul aluminum enhanced trigger gaurd,Timney Skeletonized 2.5 Lbs trigger,JP V-tac tube,low profile gas block, Custom brake(installed by ATRS...thanks guys awsome job) YHM flip up sights.
A complete degreasing and cleaning,relubed for break-in.
Still to do:
1)Have FF tube powder coated or NP3 coated a different color
2)Change the buttstock..Leaning towards a UBR or I will build something custom.
3)Choose an optic(I might stray from my usual Aimpoint route) Trijicon maybe??

Nice rifle. I actually prefer the colour contrast and would definitely leave the NP3 the way it is. You may want to try the new rubberized Magpul MOE+ grip at some point (big improvement over the standard MOE grip). A UBR is a great choice; if you want to "jazz" it up, remove the storage compartments and add an enhanced butt pad (you can always powder coat the cheek piece and kick place to accent it). A Trijicon ACOG or Elcan Spectre DR would be a slick setup.

I will most likely go the UBR route...I stripped the compartments on my other one and like the look. Is the enhanced pad aluminum? I like the idea of accent pieces as well.

They're just starting to trickle in. I don't, but I'm pretty sure one of the other CGN dealers can probably hook you up. The enhanced pad is still rubber (so probably not ideal for powder coating), but you can get an aluminium strike plate for the UBR. The cheek piece is fairly solid and would look great accented with the black screws as well. If you end up using PMAGs there's a polymer coupler you could powder coat for a nice contrast there also.

Yeah, same polymer design but with a rubberized layer around the grip. Grip feels a bit thicker, too - so it's a lot closer to the MIAD now. No idea - but if the MOE+ is a hit I imagine it's always a possibility...
