I bought a bag of new winchester brass, 50 pcs 45-70 brass a couple years ago and just and opened it last week - found 49 x 45-70 brass, and 1 x 300 H&H brass.

Not a big deal but i would prefer to have 50 brass I paid for instead of 49. I called winchester and left a message at what is supposed to be a customer service ph number. No reply yet.

So how does one get in touch with winchester customer service? is there such a thing? Or should I just live with the 49 brass and buy starline next time? :p

at least give them a chance to respond- typically, you file a complaint with the dealer/supplier, then go to customer service factory level- i've always found winchester to give me a round or 2 extra rather than short me- it's a packaging error plain and simple - go to their site, see if there's a customer/servce dept and e-mail - i NEVER depend on a phone call for anything- if there's nothing like that, try a general email to one of the ballistics guys
www.winchester.com or just google or bing it

Don't touch anything we are on the way.:p

That's the problem - been on that site and could only find the telephone number i already called, which asked me to leave a message, which I did over a week ago.

That's why I asked if anyone knew a different way to contact them.

Interesting, I've bought thousands of rounds of ww brass, and never had an extra case once. Never been short, either, aside from this incident. I like ww, no real complaint i just want to see what they'll do about this.

Hey jethunter, I will look and see if I still have my contact info from them when I had faulty brass issues. They were really good in sending replacement coupons to be used here in Canada. I will look when I get home from work.

Let it go brother....it's one stinkin' piece of brass......you got 50 pieces right? Everyone makes mistakes...

uh.... I already said I like winchester. This is the first problem I've had in many thousands of pieces of brass. I am not putting down winchester.

My 50 hole ammo box has one empty hole, and I really have nothing to lose by asking them to fix it. Asking is free and shouldn't hurt anyone's feelings for any reason I can think of.

I thought Winchester went mammeries up.

Nope. The company that was licensed to make firearms under the winchester name shut down a couple years back, and another company is now licensed to make winchester firearms.

Winchester themselves never stumbled at all. They make winchester ammunition and reloading components and some other stuff. They are part of Olin Corporation.

Then you'll have an empty hole... I couldn't do that to you. ;)

It's not a big deal. I'll survive the EHT (empty hole trauma) and I'll even keep buying winchester brass. I am kind surprised they didn't call me back or have a real person anwswering the phone.

I bought a bag of 100 Winchester .357 Mag brass. In it, was a piece .38 Special in length, but stamped .357 Magnum, leaving me with 99 pieces also. I feel your pain.
