Unrestricted Tactical 22

I am looking for info on unrestricted tactical 22's.. I just learned that the sig 522 is restricted, as well as the M&P 15 22.. are there any other than the MK22 Scar clone? And anyone have a no BS opinion of the MK22, as well as a rough price point?

The SR-22 or a 10/22 pimp kit are the only options I would consider in this country. They are both very reliable if not, the most reliable in the lineup but most importantly, they are non-restricted and support legal 25+ round magazines (clips for the ignorant)
 
kel tec su-22, mossberg tactical .22, any 10/22 w/ kit or sr-22, remington 597 are some options.
I love my mossberg, so much I ordered a new flat top version. I have shot all but the kel tec and most restricted .22s and really like the large 25 round mags. Fyi I,d stay away from the blackdog 50 round drums.
 
The most interesting of them all, to me, is the Kel Tec SU-22, but it'll be 2012 (maybe?) before we see them. I've never held or shot one, but I like the looks of it.

To me, the only decent ones that are non-restricted are the Ruger SU-22 and the Remington 597 VTR. I've never shot either one, but have shot both versions without the Halloween costumes on them. :) :) :):):) If I were to pick one of those today, it would definitely be the Ruger. I think it's a great-looking gun and 10/22s are pretty forgiving guns.
 
I've got the sr22 and like it. I just ordered (this morning) the keltec su-22 and she said easily here before christmas. I'm sure I'll be hearing back shortly if that's not possible. I found the fold up idea interesting so I'll try it. Anybody have one? How is it? Aaron

Kel Tec SU-22 won't be imported until late 2012.

my Mossberg 702 plinkster is non-restricted, but its a bit of a homemade recipe :D

Lol, gota love a 4lbs rimfire. Think it would be a blast. Wish it had a collapsible stock not the folding one. My frind has had three different kel tec guns and his sub 2000 is flawless!!!

Is that the carry handle model? How did you get that top rail on there? Im looking at it non stop and I just cant figure out how this gun is put together. It looks nothing like the original 702 tactical. TBH it almost looks like a 522 to me. I must know how you did this. Please and thank you.
 
Looks like the murader kit for the 10/22 with the mossberg internals.
I wonder how much moding was needed. I bet a knife and glue were needed.
Nice looking toy though!

No glue.
Just a dremel tool, and a very inventive mind (in all modesty).
There isn't even an extra screw in there now that i think about it...

Be a little patient, and i'll be making a thread on the whole process, with pictures.

Hint : it looks nothing like the mossberg tactical .22 because it never was. the gun i used was the regular 702 plinkster So same internals, but the tactical .22 "shell" was never involved in this build.
