Google is no help... i have been looking for upcoming gun shows in eastern canada basicly from ontario to nova scotia. i cant find any. would anyone know any up to date sites to find shows.
Thanks!

On a Sunday or Saturday morning at 5:30 am, follow any 1998 to 2005 Ford, Dodge or GMC pick up with two guys in it. Both will have a Tim Horton's coffee in hand or on the dash. Thinning or grey hair, wearing plaid jac shirts and a CGN hat are the sure sign as well.
Beards or unshaven are optional..... :)##
Just kidding of course, but something to brighten up a Monday morning...

Many Gun Shows are sponsored by local Gun and Wildlife Clubs. Check out your neighbourhood Gun Shops and ASK QUESTIONS.

Who are the gun collectors?
Where are the Gun Shows held?
Is there a local gun club? A hunting or Fish and Game Club?

There is a publication called "The Gunrunner" in Whitehorse that goes all over Canada. They will send you a free copy, and lots of gun shows are listed at the back two pages.

Questions like that. Seek and ye shall find.

If you are out West, one of the drivers might be a Woman, (shaven or unshaven,) otherwise most of what Wheaty says is true.

Western pickups are recognized by the part roll of barbed wire, four fence posts and the two stock dogs in the back of it. Also, the gun rack in the back window holding the electric stock prod and cane.

Western Police Officers, (unless they are fresh out of Regina,) will generally not stop a pickup truck with a gun rack displayed in the back window. If stopped, the conversation usually goes: "Really Officer, it may look like a gun rack, but it is for holding the cattle handling equipment. Here, let me show it to you." This is followed by a bright white flash and a loud "ZAP."

RCMP Officers in small western communities tend to learn about these things fairly fast but sometimes a second application is required. With Western cattle being larger, less tolerant, and a bit more irritable, the stock prods in Western Canada have slightly less power output than Sir Adam Beck Hydro Station at Niagara Falls.:)

Here in Nova Scotia and NB there are a standard set of gun shows each year, typically in the fall/pre-hunting season. There are Bible Hill (Sept or Oct), Waverly (Oct or Nov) (just outside of Halifax, near Fall River) and New Glasgow (Springtime) shows. In NB there is one a year in Fredericton and one in Irishtown just outside of Moncton.

I have some of these mapped on my Where To Shoot In Atlantic Canada Google Map at: http://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?msid=206501502908860219959.00048f0b85a4c124c8314&msa=0

Zoom in a little and look for the yellow 'people' tags. There may be more in Atlantic Canada but I don't know of any off hand. Best of luck.
