they saying SKS was designed in 20 of XX century but lost to SVT until 7.62X39 was introduced.Antitank rifle just used design which allready exist.One guy pointing to pros and other one to cons.They mention in Ukraine its felony to make handloads so they use only surplus or modern russian bullets

Wow, that's a rather odd restriction. Mind you over there you probably don't need to look hard to find cheap surplus.

SKS in Ukraine going around 300-400 bucks and ammo(surplus)twice of price here(wages there around 300 $).goverment try to limit possesion of firearms by holding price high.But you can get full auto AK and mags not pinned.

Thanks for the Translation Coolzak...:) I watched the video and it is neat to see their view on the SKS, it is amazing that after 60+ Years this Rifle has such a huge following.
 
I just bought my first sks, and I'm in my usual OCD (full throttle/no throttle mode); I want to know everything about the sks--Not that I speak/understand Ukrainian. Thank you for posting the video.

My grandpa told me they were allowed single barreled break action shotguns only. Fudd.:redface:

it was in old soviet times.You has to be member of hunting club ,good comrad and lots of similar crap.To own centerfire was privilige for party high rollers or professional hunters in Siberia
