2011 CGN Saskatchewan gopher shoot. Thanks to everyone for coming!

Yep. I'm already looking forward to the 2012 shoot. I'd prefer it to be a bit earlier because I always compare this year's shoot to the first year where the gophers were running over our feet in hordes. Of course I like the nice weather on Canada day too. But we all get pretty social when we're freezing, huddled over a smokey fire and trying to keep warm under a tarp canopy that is threatening to blow down and kill somebody at any moment. This year was so strange with all the nice weather.

I'm sorry to hear that some of you might not have much holidays available this year. We'll arrange to come whenever it's convenient for the hosts. I make damn sure I have some holiday time saved up every spring.
 
I wish Sask wasn't so far from Ottawa :( (Although, you guys most likely wish it were further :D) I would absolutely love to drive up there but I'd spend twice as much time driving as I would being there.

Glad I'm not the only one thinking about this already.
With my new schedule of working every other weekend I'd vote for doing ot a week earlier, but then I was given a fourth week of holidays this year, so should be able to come canada day weekend anyway.
I'm close enough I can go last minute if I have too.

Harv. I almost have all th parts for the golf ball launcher. And I'm still thinking on tracers for the beer can cannon!
 
Well I think it's just about time to start up another thread full of fresh goodness.

I've got my beloved little .22 popper sitting here, saddened that she'll probably see little use now until the thaw comes. I just hope 2012 is going to be good for everyone.

If you want to give that .22 a fun winter time workout, take a drive along the canal banks out by Taber. Pop some muskrats. Lots of fun!
 
Nothing short of a 3 inch 12 gauge duck load. They zig and zag alot. Ever see the matrix? Imagine that and instead of Neo imagine a really pissed off 5 pound rodent in a trechcoat with a Rapala hanging out of his ass and with a Chuck Norris beard. All he'll do is catch that 9mm bullet and then when he gets you he'll shove it up your ass!
 
Hey andrew, are you making one of your vegas treks in january? I'm headed for SHOT show again and figured if you'd be in town at the same time we could go a mind blowing bender of booze and sordid women.
