2011 CGN Saskatchewan gopher shoot. Thanks to everyone for coming!

Jeez....I only actually took 2 pictures of the entire weekend...

Good thing Penny snapped some as well!!!

I think I shot less than 50 gophers this weekend. Truth be told I shot about 5 times that many practicing for this trip. But really its not about the gophers at all. It was great to see some of the same faces from '09. Kim and Penny, Jason, Harv, Dave, Kevin,Andrew and Jackie (and your little one. Congratulations!) Beritel, those some amazing pics! Nice work!

And to the new people. Jonsey and Eric, Dennis etc... I actually regret that there were a few people whose names I never got. The three young guys who abused the glowsticks and kept the fire going, and were a barrel of laughs till 3:00ish in the morning and the guy with the .264 Win Mag who knocked the gong off before I could get my gun. You know who you are, and it was great to get to know you.
Harv. I have a line on a fancy new golf ball "driver" for next year too. Its amazing what you can find in a scrap pile with a little inspiration... ;-) We'll have to make that cannon actually hit something next time...

Can't wait till next year! Already planning to take the time off to make sure I don't miss it.

Those are some nice pics and it looks like everyone had a good time. I'm glad to hear that the weather cooperated this time and that there was no need to call out the local fire dept.
 
How much is it to fill a fire extinguisher ? ;P

Well so far I look pretty damn huge in the pics of me so far :)

As for the mortar, THUD, PING, smoke and "Where did that go?" Was awesome but too small.
 
Every year it gets better even though it seems every year there are less gophers :eek:

Just occurred to me that we should have got a group shot, the pics don't really show the great turnout. And it would help me put faces to the names I still cant remember after 3 years :p
 
Every year on this trip I discover little things that make the next year easier. This year I learned I should put all my booze into non breakable plastic bottles before hand.
