This likely has been beaten to death but is there a wooden aftermarket stock available. Gunworx in Autrailia makes em. I emailed them but they have not got back to me, shipping will kill me likely. Anyones help greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I have a factory T3 wooden stock available however I used the trigger guard assembly for a McMillan stock that replaced it. You will need this assembly for any aftermarket stock you might find because the T3 synthetic stock trigger guard is molded into the stock and not removeable.

Tikka T3

I have three Tikka T3's and they all have removable trigger guards. I ordered a California Walnut stock from Richardson's Micro Fit I am working on now.

Grizzly,

Have you used a boyds stock? Found this thread looking for info on them as Im thinking of putting one on my rifle.

Yes, I've used several of them. A Savage, an M1A, a CZ and a Ruger 10/22. Some are ready to drop in install. Others need pillars and or bedding or mods. They are well described, and minor fitting may be required for basic installation if your gun has any variation from the exact model listed. Different magazine setup, trigger, barrel contour, etc can require work with a chisel, rotary tool, etc. High power rifles are best bedded, IMO, but that's a subject for a knowledgeable gunsmith.

I emailed Nigel at gunworx yesterday . He got right back to me. We exchanged 10 emails during the afternoon. He was very interested in getting all the details correct.
I would try again, they have a good selection of stock.
