Will Lee .44 Dies work for both .44 Special and .44 Russian

Can anyone tell me if the same Lee 3 die set will work for .44 Russian, .44 Special, and .44 Magnum. The die set for the .44 Russian has a different part number than for the two other .44 rounds (same part # for the Special and Magnum).

Is brass length the only difference between the three? If so, could one not adjust the dies to fit all three?

I wonder if you could get crimp die low enough. Had that issue with an RCBS set using 44 spec brass. Other than that the Lee reloading book shows a .001 difference on the width.

Just to clarify the question, the Lee die set I have is for the .44 Russian. But I would like to also reload .44 Special.

.44 mag dies won't work for crimping the Russian length brass!

Try it. If the die doesn't seem to tight, try adding a washer or to. Was told RCBS 44 mag dies have come with a special sized(thickness) washer to be added in for loading 44 special. 44spl brass is probably easier to find then 44 russian

Just to clarify the question, the Lee die set I have is for the .44 Russian. But I would like to also reload .44 Special.

I reload .44 special with my LEE .44 Russian die set. No problem.

I also use a LEE .455 webley die set to load .45acp, .45autorim, 45 S&W Schofield, and .455 webley. I think it will work with .45 colt too, but haven't tried it.
