I just picked it up in a WalMart down here in Florida. I love the States, the WalMarts have firearms, ammo, beer etc... It really is a one stop shop

Definitely. Full auto M1 Thompson earlier and an Mp5k both with 30rd magazines. As I said to the man at the counter - God bless the USA!

No, Chinese and Russian SKS rifles are banned from Importation into the USA for many years now. That is why they are so cheap in Canada.

I just remember seeing a lot of shotguns and Winchester levers with ammo on the other counter. Walked over two isles and picked up a 6 pack.

Why are SKSes banned from import

- Russian ones were banned, because Bill Clinton while President signed an agreement with the Soviets to ban all importation of former Soviet semi-auto military rifles (SKS & SVT-40's).

- Chinese SKS and other assorted Firearms were banned, because they got caught selling military hardware to Sadam Hussein of Iraq during the arms embargo.

P.S. That is why SKS rifles are selling for $300.00 to $600.00 and SVT-40 rifles from $900.00 to $1,200.00 in the USA.
