You are sort of correct. Although it is the follower that is used for there bolt hold open mechanism instead of a tab follower running up a separte channel. Also no it will not take ak mag's or vz ones for that matter.

Yeah, it won't take AK mags. That would be somewhat annoying, but that's offset by the fact that there's a better chance the RCMP will let it into the country if it shares no parts with the AK.

The AK is like the definition of "baby killing death gun" to the anti's, so we'll need all the help we can get...

That was interesting... Parts of this rifle have already been sold here in the form of an air rifle, the folding butt stock, pistol grip, and lower receiver are the same less some machining on the receiver. Can't think what the air rifle was called though.

Problem is the 56 is a prohib, so even if people do want to play dress up with theirs its kinda pointless seeing as you cant take her out for a date.

This, while looking nice seems to be a great shooter. Considering I love the 858's (I have 4) and such I would love to welcome 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 of these bad boys to my collection. Not just for the looks but to actually go out and use it.
