whats your favorite caliber?

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the 6.5x55 Swede. Light recoil, great trajectory, powerful enough for everything in NA. Only drawback I can see is ammo availability. If you reload it's not a problem :D.

It's not a caliber, but I like my rifle chambered with it..I think there needs to be another caliber vs chambered vs cartidge thread so people know what they are talking about. I am not singling you out either glang..

I agree with noneck and glang, It's interesting that some do not realize the difference between cartridge and caliber.
The .25 is a caliber and my favorite .25 caliber cartridge is the....
257Roberts

308 or 30-06 for me. Cause when or if I make it to become and ole bugger, I know I will still be able to handle it and shoot it well. Cheap and readily available ammo at just about every where that sells hunting stuff.

.308 WIN is my favourite cartridge. Vanilla I know, but the fact its cheap to shoot, can knock down any big game with ease if I do my part, and is available everywhere, with lighter recoil then the 3006, makes it King in my book.

I've been using a 270 win for big game since I was a teenager, and just last month I decided to go crazy and get myself a.... 308.

And yes, when I go to the "64,000 flavours of ice cream" type stores I also get vanilla. I happen to like vanilla. :)
