Im buying a 858 within the next few weeks but I cant make up my mind, folder or fixed? This is a gun im gonna be shooting alot so I want the comfort of the fixed but the folder looks awsome but uncomfortable. which is better.

Fixed stock will give you more comfort and better accuracy. I bought a folding stock myself, with the intention to add the skeleton stock..reason behind this,is that the folding stock is easier to remove..... the LOP of the skeleton suits my longer arms.

Buy the one with the fixed stock, then order the folder from Wolverine for $45.

The folder is uncomfortable for extended shooting, both have a very short length of pull as I believe they are intended to be shot by folks wearing armour or a load bearing vest or both.

You can buy a kalinka buttpad for an ak which fits well and makes the folder alot more comfortable too shoot if somewhat fugly. I have both stocks and I keep it with the folder on.

the factory folder with a paracorded arm is not bad. There are a couple guys here on CGN that did a tutorial on how to wrap it. Im happy i did mine.

i shot a cz with both stocks and i would prefer the fixed stock myself, the folding just feels weird, but maybe if i owned my own cz and shot it alot maybe i would get used to the folding stock after awhile, it jsut doesnt have that solid feel to it

Yeah both stocks are the same length, and too short for me. It will cost you less to get the non folding on the gun and then to buy the folding stock after, also easier to find the folding stock separate.

I have three 858's. 2 have folding stocks (one paracorded). The other has been changed out to the skeleton stock with a rubber buttpad. The folders are fun to shoot, but a lot harder on the body. If I'm doing any extended shooting with CZ's its with the skeleton stock.
