Complete Overhaul

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I went through my gear and supplies and over the past 2 months have done a complete overhaul...

well, my stoves, cooking gear, axes, knives, lighting, first aid, etc. has not changed... but just about everything else has.

Any of you guys done this?

First change, New calibre rifle.

Second Change, New Pack

Third Change, New Brand scope.

Fourth Change, New brand clothing

fifth change, new boots.

I suspect I will be the better part of the next six months, getting this stuff broken in.

New pack(bigger Badlands), new boots(more Irish Setters), thinking new deer gun (.270) once the registry goes...I just want to avoid filling all my nifty new pack pockets with "stuff" haha.

You must have gota raise or nice Christmas bonus lol... Change is good !!:D

No need to break it all in, just send it all my way and I'll do it for you. I like change too..:)

Could it be an age thing? I just turned 46.

-New boots, Irish Setters, the only boots that fit my platypuss feet
-new rifle, Weatherby Vanguard
-haven't decided wether to keep my 30 year old Bushnell scope or give it to my son and keep the new one.
- new CF pants, I could actually see through my old ones
- new ground blind being built this spring (insulated, heated, small butane cook stove) .....and making it 8'X8' so a lazy boy will fit in it. The chair not me.

Ohh yes, new to me BLR 81 in 358win, new spotting scope, range finder, T-Bolt 22, hat,
camper, Nuvi 550.
Passed some things down to the newbie hunter.
New batteries and propane bottles in the camper.

Same here, sort of. Happy with what I'm using & nothing new here. Is that a bad thing?

Me too. My boots are starting to show some wear and may be replaced soon but other then that things are good. Rifle shoots straight and the scope is clear. I have too many tents to worry about them as I hate using them. :)p) I buy new knives all the time but not for any particular reason. I don't own any real 'hunting' clothes except for one old parka that's camoflauged. And the only reason I even have that is when I bought it it was the warmest coat at the best price. The last few years my old Carhart was the hunting coat, and I wear blue jeans every day, all year. I did buy a new axe though. :)

New rifles all round, switching to a 2 gun system, VX/FX3's on top.

New boots, and LRF on the short list.

New 2000cu in daypack on there too (hate my sitka ascent 14).

Have all the clothing I need 'cept maybe some high end rain gear (sitka stormfront lite, etc)....it's all time and money.
