Who's idea was it? IPSC Ontario Match Results

Actually John...what I agreed to take on was the recruitment and scheduling of all the workers...which I did.

We had the same 6 or so sponsers we had the 5 previous years...and the year after. If you were unhappy with the sponsors...this is the first time you've ever mentioned it.

Regarding BOD support for ESSA...it came well before you hosted the Provincials...but I didn't expect you to remember or acknowledge that.

I supported you and your club for years...from many people that said we shouldn't rely on you...

But...at the end of the day it's all about you. I know how your six followers feel about you...I wonder what the rest of the club thinks.

Your clubs IPSC rep and crew continually publicly criticize the IPSC BOD, International Council, rule book, sanitationing process, etc etc etc...and you wonder why IPSC participation is falling off?

before the provincals we had our own L3 match for Charity.

Actually you see I do not have followers..........I have partners. That is how we run things at EESA. We are a team through and through. It is a shame more people cannot understand that team concept. It is that team that puts in the time to run matches. That team that cares about EESA, IPSC and shooters in general.
I can tell you that as Club President they never fail to make me very proud.

In those areas we feel that the BOD is going in a wrong direction........certainly.,

Actually the rule book problems are really just a manifestation of the problemas at the Council level.

It really is a chicken and egg sort of thing........(although my theory still holds that it has always been the egg but that is another story).

IDPA has definitely made some great stides at EESA and I am happy to see it. The more action shooting (or any shooting) that we have the better in my book.

Perhaps one day IPSC will return to EESA at the levels it used to be at. One can only hope.

No IPSC wanted to have more 3 gun matches............so EESA held some of the ONLY 3 gun matches in the province. Heck some years the only 3 gun matches (and I was always very happy to see you attend)


the BOD wanted more ICS matches...........so EESA held ICS matches to try and help.

The BOD wanted us to host the provincals.........so several of us took a week off of work and every weekend that summer to prepare.

I have always been more of a trumpet or bagpipe fan myself..........can we go for that?

As to a spotlight? How else can one shed light onto a subject? I think that light is a great thing! It is shadows and darkness that need to be fought at any and every turn. Do you not agree? If there is light then everyone can see exactly what is going on.

The nice think about IPSC is it attracts type A++ personalities with lots of energy.
The bad thing about IPSC is those same people have to on occation occupy the same space.

The comforting thing about IPSC is that when those folks butt heads, it's often with the best of intentions.

True words indeed!

As I said before..........

I firmly believe that eveyone has the what they truely believe is the best interests of those involved firmly at heart

I know that Quigley cares very much (or he is as mad as a hatter for taking on the role of IPSC Ont President for all those years).

I know that the current BOD of IPSC have the best of intentions.

I know that 7.62 cares VERY much, as does Onagoth, Jojopinto, Lonewolf, Lonedrone, Moodyblueberry, et al.

Heck in my heart of hearts I even think that Vince Pinto has what he feels are the very best interests of IPSC at heart (at least his version of it).

That should never be questioned by anyone.

Otherwise quite frankly why would one spend the time to comment? Why would you get involved? It would be pointless.

The trick then my firends (and yes that does include you Quigley) is to recognize that and not attempt to dismiss the legitimate concens of those involved from all perspectives.

I never ever pick battles.........they tend to be thrust upon me from time to time. The trouble is I never got a handle on that whole retreat tactic so I do from time to time fight on multiple fronts (never a good idea I know). But at least now (by your own admission) I have at least 6 people on my side. That is 5 more than I have had on many many an occasion in the past!

Did I ever tell you of the story of me and a lone friend,versus 2500 anti war protestors in 1991? That did not phase me then and I now I have allies!!!

IPSC Ontario is working to improve its backend systems to better serve the membership. Part of this effort is centralising our data for easier management. An IPSC Ontario forum account is central to managing our membership data, and allows members to set their own username/password to access results/stats/match calender/etc...

I would think (an hope) that Madness is refering to the "very top" as in the top of the food chain. That would point to VP and NA (IMHO).

It is clear that the Canadian SC is not dead weight.

It is clear also that the Ontario BOD is not dead weight. As a matter of fact I would almost say the reverse. They are making changes at an astounding rate many of which are great changes and will certainly lead to a better Ontario Section of that I am certain. However........I also believe that some of these changes or perhaps the methods in which they are being launched are problematic.
 
Funny I just answered the phone from another friend and IPSC shooter who cant figure out how to get the results either... :rolleyes:

Nothing wrong with change if you let people know what the hell is going on...
