Contact Robertson Composits

Of what? Jefferson comes on here airing all the possible dirt on Robertson's and then comes accross as mean spirited to a customer of the business who was not owed the common courtesy of a phone call indicating that his order would not be filled.

If I was Ian Robertson or coyotekiller82 I don't think I'd care for what he's posted in this thread.

Under the circumstances, I would have thought Jefferson would be empathetic as he himself was a victim of poor customer service of the company of no fault of his own.

Apparently not.

Amen to that brother!! I don't dignify posts of his calibre with a reply tho...that would make me just as bad in my books.

All I have to say is my custom has already been accepted elsewhere!!

Robertson do fantastic stock and i think no one can say nothing bad about this.
This is a big player in the shooting community and i truly wish he could continue to do this high quality stock.

However, when you drop 1300 $ on a stock and wait a couples months, a simple e-mail to notify the situation is the minimum you have to do...

I had ordered a barrel with the intent of them doing the install on my F class rig, and actually did receive a rather cryptic phone call about my credit card info so that they can refund my deposit.

I was a little disappointed to hear the news, and await with cash in hand in case this sorts itself out.

I'd hate to see them go.

As Ugly said above.

It would be a HUGE blow to the Benchrest community. Robertson makes many of the stocks used in the short range community. It would affect those suppliers IMMENSELY.

yes it was

and now for a little more info even to those rubbies who critisize me,

1. there was only 1 other bid from canadians and it was much lower than the winning price for the assests

2. interesting things can be gleaned from the list of creditors in the Bankruptcy but that is another topic, for another day as the "owners" at the end consist of a fellow who shoots F-class and he has declined to communicate on this forum to tell his side of the story, but may be the distribotor for barn yard actions shortly,

3. the new owners tried to negotiate with the owner of the building to no avail, and were not satisfied that staff could be re-hired (one of the good employees is doing something else in another town for example)

4. he owner also thought about doing business in Alberta and storing the assests there for a while but in the end decided to get the assests to Montana for now, and get a business up and running

5. there will be ABSOLUTELY NO STOCKS TO COME TO CANADA IN 2012 as it costs 3200$ in real money USA dollars to get a state license to "allow your product to be exported" per year and I am under the impression that there iwll be more than enough orders stateside to keep the new owners busy in 2012, example silly wet stocks, and other companies who build guns need stocks that the old company could not finish and ship on a regular basis, (shame but true)

6. there has already been a company preliminarily chosen to be the "sole and only distributor for canada" if and when the decision is made to ship stocks norhtward. (unlike products who let everyone be a distributor there will only be 1 and 1 only)

7. the new company wishes to deal with Canada, and at some point abroad but will be proceeding slowly, they do not want to become double the employees and produce the same stocks as the year before which appeared to happen to the entity that just went through a bankruptcy.

8. at least you should be able to take some comfort in the fact it got sold to a shooter who cares about Canada (and maybe there is a small interest in the company owned by a Canadian from the west--hint hint me)

9. I can tell you unequivocally there are a list of folks who will not be getting a stock if I have anything to say about it based on the nonsense spewed on this forum by folks looking to be an internet hero for 5 minutes, and yes I know the inside scoop on the business, on some suppliers and the new owners, including me,

so plan on 2013 for your stocks

I'm not sure what all this is about. I know I had spoken to one of the owners and asked to be kept informed as I was interested in buying it with a friend of mine( who has very very serious financial resources). I was never contacted about the sale otherwise we could have presented an offer.

I work in the same area as Robertson shop.
I'll try to go in to speak with them either Monday or Tuesday & report back on the 3-way butt stocks & any other news from Ian, Paul, Barry & the rest of the gang.
