Bipod on AR without rail system?

Id like to put a bipod on my AR, but I have standard hand guards without any rail systems.
What would be the best way for my to attach a bipod?

Get a plastic rail and bolt it to your lower handguard.

i thnk Harris makes an attachment for thier bipods for old school plastic handgaurds.

im not sure where you are but the guys at reliable gun carry all the Harris stuff.

Harris adapter... No. 15 I think...

Fits inside the handguards, and provides a single sling stud on which you can attach any harris. Best/cheapest option. OR - get a railed forend, and a Larue or TangoDown bipod. Pricey pricey.

Do you have a bayonette lug on it. I have seen bipods that mount on them.

There are the old G.I. ones that just clamp on the barrel under the FSB, for about $20.

Not so. I've put a few rounds through an old sp1 with a Harris bipod and starlight scope on it...it worked just fine.
