Good products have marketing campaigns too. Just because they know how to sell carbines to the fanboy crowd doesn't necessarily make the product crap. Can't old the fact that they want to sell as many guns as they can against them. ;)

Ever had your hand on any BCM stuff, used/shot any of it??? Didn't think so...

The BCM stuff made by VLTOR has VLTOR written right on it, typically. The Gunfighter charging handle is an example. We can have it because it's a VLTOR product that BCM markets, not a BCM product.
 
I've only seen a few BCM's in use and they function flawlessly. I'm no expert on AR's but I know that experienced guys hold them in extremely high regard.

Why yes actually. I Have.
Have you? Didn't think so.

There are so many manufacturers using state of the art equipment to make some of the finest AR's made in the last decade.
How can you pick one and say they are the best.
I bet there are 20 that are the same quality. Some just have better marketing and branding.
BCM - Marketing Galore and Internet based fan clubs vs. LMT Pure performance nothing else.

1. Good for you;

2. I currently have a 14.5" mid-length upper that is as good as any of the half-dozen LMT uppers I've owned. It has about 12K flawless rounds through it. Had a 16" ML and moved it, not because it wasn't excellent but because the deal came up on the 14.5. I have a 16" lightweight upper on an LMT lower in Michigan that I've used for hogs and a couple of courses/matches and it has also been flawless. I have more than just handled them...

3. I didn't say that - merely that BCM is 1st tier, not 2nd or 3rd just because Travis Haley endorses it. So do lots of other BTDT guys and, marketing schtick aside, Haley can shoot and has sent more than a few souls to the other side; and 20 just as good?? I doubt it, and I think I've handled enough, both service weapons and civ side to know the difference;

4. I think you're letting your infatuation with LMT to cause you to talk out of your 4th point of contact...
