4k would be a good deal for that rifle. the newer 5 round side feed ones are great but cost $2500 more.

I'm not sure what to do yet ... as I've made some extra coin this yr ... we shall see ... HAHA as for shooting seals there'd be nothing left I'm sure. :p

Why don't you just get a new one, you can get them for around 4,900 now since the mag fed version came out.

A place in town here will sell them for $4,900 before tax

Which town are ya living in partner? I'll pass on the hagelburg one. I was trying to purchase here as there are two locally and I wouldn't have to deal with shipping and BS. :D

Wonder how the Canstar CS50 compares to the HS50? I think they're around the $3,000 mark...

The outdoorsman in Medicine Hat alberta Quoted me $4900.oo for a new STEYR HS50 not including tax. (403) 529-9248 Brian is who you want to talk to.

Wolverine supplies still wants $5200.oo or $5300.oo for a new one before tax about a month ago.

I belive north silva (don't know how to spell it) is the only canadian importer of STEYR so they all come from the same place. Maybe you could get them to ship it rite to you rather then to the store then to you? save a little on shipping?

It looks like Canstar decided to add some curves to the 50BMG brick, errr CS-50. Here's a picture from their site for the CS-50 II. Although I still prefer my HS50 I think this new one might take the place of the almost impossible to get Armalite bolt action AR-50. The information on this rifle seems to be pretty much non existent. I'm not a fan of paying $3500 plus tax and shipping to find out about it.

Bought an HS-50 so going through all the 50BMG threads. Hence the thread resurrection.

Plus who doesn't like reading about 50BMG? :D
