looking at getting a mosin for a bear gun, anybody know a good source?I am willing to pay much more if it is accurate.
Thanks,
Hunter.

I just ordered a Mosin from Westrifle this morning. I went with one of the $150 Mosin for my first. I have a good feeling another order will be going in for a $100 mosin.

I did the same thing, and will probably getting a $100 in the future as well. And their customer sevice is top notch. I didn't get the bolt tool with mine. A quick email and bingo, I just got it today.

I'd check the EE, and pick up an M44.

I got a very good use M44 for $175 awhile back. Bore was fouled to hell, but cleaned up real nice, and it shoots pretty well.

Much shorter and lighter than the 91/30's!

Keep in mind these guns also shoot high so tweekin the sights may be in order.

If you are getting one for hunting, get Westrifle to pick one with a good bore. They will do that. Probably $130.
If it is for a survival gun, an M38 or M44. They are lighter, compact and if you miss the bear, the muzzle blast and flash will scare the crap out of them.

M91 has a good bang too. I have many people at the range turning there head when I start shooting mine :)

Go to Westrifle. At 100 bucks, get two so you have a spare. They also sell LVE 203 grain soft points. They are guaranteed to drop a bear and will bang/flop any deer.
