Educate me on Robinson Arms XCR's

I couldn't hold out any longer and picked up a nice Robinson Arms XCR-L in 223 today. It came with a 6.8 kit and I added a Bushnell Elite 3200 2-7 and 3 LAR 10 round pistol mags before I left the store. Any tips or advice on these guns for a relative newbie to black rifles? (unless of course you count CZ 858's) Thanks

It's not new and I'm not sure how to tell what revision it is. It does look to be nearly new and I would suspect round count is very now..... I have heard that an aftermarket trigger is a worthwhile upgrade but that's about it so far....

Not really even an issue for me, as it only took a couple seconds to fix, but I just got a new one and put 300 rounds through it before the casing deflector fell off and required loctite.
 
Folks will say it is junk because some rifles(maybe all) need to have fasteners loctited, but last i heard NEA where loctiting components on their AR15, and the NEA AR15 is the best thing since sliced bread.....
 
Make sure the gas valve is turned down to the lowest setting that it cycles smoothly at. Brass should throw 8-12 feet.

No one is saying using Loctite is bad. People are saying guns not being properly assembled AT THE FACTORY is bad.
 
I heard Alex let Mitt Romney build some because Mitt supports the 2nd amendment but when Mitt realized what he was building he flip floped the loctite. True? or internet rumour?
 
Only thing you need to know is the 7.62 pistol mag will hold and feed 6.8 SPC so you need some of those

I know its not newer, simply because the "newer" XCR-L does not have "XCR" engraved on the magazine housing. It looks as though you have the newer gas regulator which is good. I would suggest to loctite most of the bolts on this rifle, sometimes the jokes ring true! Personally the only bolt I had loosen on me was the barrel bolt. Make sure that has some loctite and is torqued as per spec. IF you don't have the manual, I have an electronic copy I can email you. Other than that, just enjoy shooting her! Don't complain that its heavy, because it really isn't. If its too heavy for you, just sell it to me.
