The Ruger SR.1911 was announced back in April of 2011, however Ruger has experienced several setbacks and delays regarding out-sourcing, quality control, and distribution of these guns. As a result, not a single 1911 has yet been shipped to Canadian dealers.

We do have a large number of SR.1911 pistols on back order --- many of which are pre-sold to waiting customers. Retail pricing on this pistol (cat #6700 // Ruger #SR1911) is $731.00 + taxes.

If you do wish to place an order for one of these guns, we can accept a deposit equal to 1/3 of the retail price after taxes. The balance would be due upon delivery from our distributor.

Please note that at this point we have been advised to expect a mid-February delivery date, however this timeframe has been pushed back several times by Ruger. As a result, we will not guarantee a specific delivery timeframe for this pistol.

If you have an order placed for one of these guns, we can cancel your order at your request, and return any monies paid to date for this purchase. Otherwise, we can maintain your order in place and continue to await delivery from our distributor.

Please contact Kevin at info@ellwoodepps.com and advise us how you wish to proceed.

That's funny, I could have sworn I saw a thread back in December where a few only were delivered to some Quebec customers through another dealer. I know they are really having issues even supplying dealers in the US.

There's been reports throughout the province from BC to Quebec of folks with shiny SR1911 from Canadian retailers. Are you saying these are grey market pistols?

Epps- you really should get some facts straight before posts like this.

Where did you get the QC info from? Every review (from reputable sources) have been glowing.

Also there are lots of dealers that have gotten these pistols in and shipped to end users.

Myself included- Please note I am in Canada, the date of photo and the back drop. Btw- I have over 100 rounds thru mine and would rate QC above the last Kimber I had.

Pwned in your thread:nest:

Epps, might not be be aware of other shipments to Canada. It's possible that Epps is just repeating the line given to them by their distributors.

Obviously their distributors aren't very good. Those that paid the 1/3 deposit waiting months must be feeling pretty raw. AND that's 1/3 after tax which begs the questions of why is tax being collect before the sale???

I can assure you, Ruger's Canadian distributors are indeed getting SR1911's and they have been been shipping to dealer's across Canada. Of this, I am absolutely 100% certain. They are only trickling in at the moment, but they are indeed coming in.

Most dealers have have the gun's already sold to customer's who have paid deposits, so it'll be a while before they actually show up for sale.

Guess Kevin at Epp better B1tch-Slap their distributor for making them look like LIEberals.
