Ruger sr22 pistols are out in the states .
Sadly stock guns have 3.5 inch barrels .
I'm hopeing they have a 106mm version coming to the land of the beaver .
If anyone has details , leads on who when where post them here ! ;)
( hehe, yes I'm aware of the existence of the walther p22)

Cheers
Thanks
Patrick

Good looking pistol !

but I wish it won't come here with an ugly barrel extension like they do with the P22 or the ISSC

ah come on its awsome :)

Did the fashion designer from Hi-Point, make the move over to Ruger?:D

Yeah really. If it was dayglo green and orange it would look right at home shooting Nerf Darts....

And if from this you think I have the same opinion of the Walter P22 you're right. A more "toy" like gun I've never seen... Until Ruger came out with this one.

I would rather they came out with a target model of the SR22 with a 4.5 inch barrel, which seems reasonable as this is clearly a compact version with the 3.5

Down to safe, up to fire. <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjG2DNFRV9M>

What wise-guy came up with that?

There are a few guns like that actually .
Technically you need to loosen your grip
Lift your thumb off the side of a 1911
Press it down ( on the safely )
, and then replace it on the grip .

Keeping it down on safe
And then sliding it up would be easyer
And promote a better hold or grip on the gun.

So I guess it was the smart guy

ive never been disappointed with ruger. I have a p89 that should be relegated to the saf but i love it the most. could be because it was my first pistol

id love one of these

If we get them in Canada it's definitely what I want. I read too many poor reviews of the GSG or Walther and like the quality of the Ruger. Think it looks great too (never really liked the style of the MKII)

i bought a GSG to hold me over ... hopefully these pistols will come!
the Walther 22 seems to be a 2/3 scale gun
went to epps to check them out maybe buy one
when they handed it to me i thought it was a joke
and they handed me a "lighter" and not a gun

Just happened to see this pistol on youtube.
Looks like a mosquito killer  haha

So, any word on a Canadian legal one?

Besides variety what does this have to offer over the MKs?

Simpler takedown.

I still think it should have been more closely patterned after the SR9/40, it could have been a great .22 training pistol for that platform. Anyone know if it will fit in a holster made for the SR9/40?
