Lusa SP89- Legal?

I know these aren't actually a variant of anything but are these legal? For some reason I remember some being in the country but why aren't they readily available?

There were some threads on these a while back. IIRC, Questar tried importing them, but the US DOS wouldn't allow export from the states for civilian sales for whatever reason, then eventually LUSA USA went out of business. During this time, they did get in at least one of the carbines for a sample (to get an FRT assigned to it), and it somehow made it's way into private hands, where it sold on the EE a year or 2 ago.
 
that would be great. just going by the HK SP89. was prohib, and was told these were confiscated without comp as well. just what i heard anyway. i have an hk94, same almost, and 12/5

totally different gun though

That sucks. No mention of that on their website but I took a look at all their distributor links and none of those stores even mentions Lusa USA.
 
I shoot it and no it was non-restricted and that is a barrel shroud on it. The owner is even a member of the site but the guy in the video is just a member up there that borrowed it for the video.
