Its like putting lipstick on a pig. Dress it up all you want, its a waste of cash and extra weight! Spend the cash on a bipod, sights, or optics.

I am betting he has a buddy with a "cool" gun and now he wants one to

Why will he be dissapointed? it's what he wants! Same for people who put big fancey rim's and tires on truck's! does'nt make them drive any better but it looks cool.

I'd skip the remington ammo though. It might be good if you are trying to hit a barn from 25 yards. I have had good luck with the federal bulk stuff in my marlin.
