Does anyone know an economical place to get Metric targets from? IPSC Ontario doesn't have many left and won't be getting more. I have found them at various places online based in the US that will ship to Canada, for as low as $0.45 per target, but they all want to ship UPS, and that means bending over without lube once you pay the brokerage fees (and the HST on top of the brokerage fees!).

Ideally I'd like to find somewhere in Canada that sells them, but so far no luck. Failing that, someplace that ships USPS from the States would be my next choice. My googling has turned up nothing so I'm resorting to asking here.

And before someone asks, yes I know IPSC doesn't allow these targets any more. This is for a club level league that is not IPSC sanctioned.

Try shooters connection. Give Chuck there a shout and see what he can do for you. Great guy and I know they ship USPS.

He's at SHOT though, as with most people right now!

Hmmm well I experimented with putting 1000 targets in my cart and the only option the website gave me to ship was UPS Worldwide expedited:

Subtotal: $440.00
Shipping: $2,194.34
Taxes: $0.00
Total: $2,634.34

Ummm... yeah no LOL

If this is one of those "they will ship USPS if you ask" type deals then I'll look into it further.

Why not use IDPA target instead?

Debated it. It may be a last resort. I prefer the Metric as it has that A zone in the head so to me it's slightly more "realistic." Not that the IDPA target is bad either, it's just a matter of preference is all.

IDPA targets have a zero down area in the head .
If you can find them CDP targets are cool with a smaller zero down in the head that also goes down the throat

Get the measurements for the target and get someone who is handy on a computer to make a JPG up of the target to the proper dimensions and save the file for you. Then take the file to kinkos or whatever and go nuts for cheap.

As a follow up... I met up tonight with the guy in charge of targets for IPSC Ontario. He said they have had enough interest in these targets that they are going to have more made locally (they own a set of dies) and carry them on a regular basis.

Thanks to everyone that reached out and offered their help with obtaining targets.
