AIRSOFT COPY RONI's barrel shroud measures around a little less than 4.0 inches:

my Tan one measures 4.25"

How far does the shroud fits over the slide on your kit ? ......This shroud is not a copy as I had to buy a real shroud to fit my 34 Gen 4 into a kit.

We got the answer... The muzzlebrake "lips" don't go far enough over the Glock's slide...

Here's BEFORE closing the muzzle cap:

As you can see on the picture above, the muzzlebrake is resting on the front face of the slide.
It don't go over the slide like the original roni's muzzlebrake which cover the frontal area for the muzzle blast!

Here's the original Roni and where the muzzlebrake sits on the slide:

The internal muzzle brake is adjustable for position so it is possible your black one was just not assembled properly.

I had a look at the real Roni at SHOT and the tan ones we are getting are not the real thing. Still happy with my fake Roni as it cost 1/4 what a real one does.

I've tried it and the other hole is for the installation of a Glock 19 (Small Frame)... ;)

The barrel shroud length seems a plausible explanation (who says size doesn't matter).

I noted one of the posters had found a replacement shroud for his G34. Is there a replacement available for the g17 or other regular-length Glocks?

Actually the vents are on the sides on my copy and the original one I bought has one vent on top. , I have the front half of one you could have if you need it ....as I cut the one I received down to test fit my 34 in my kit.

I threw the back half with the muzzle shroud away and I assume that this is the part you need...

The front half still uses the original mounting screw with the kit. This is the part you can have.

Holy thread revival batman!
But where can these Roni/ Roni kits be had.
Although, after reading some of the thread, I'd rather spend a few extra bucks and get the Roni rather than the airsoft version.

how does the slide pull back? i see the little adapter that comes with the kit but how does it work?

also i have seen two other kits from different companys and they have the addapters for a KSG or TM gun? does one of thoughs fit the real glock? like if i buy a kit that is for a TM glock will the slide pull back thing work on my real g17?
