Just returned from SHOT. (sorry, if i haven't responded fully to your emails ; tried to keep up best I could)
Its looking really good for the Ruger 1-A in 275 Rigbt (really a &x57 mauser, of course). They haven't said 'no' by ant means AND have asked for a sample of our wood. We bought 120 nice blanks from New Zealand in for this reason. Not as fancy as the ones we use on our Coopers but from the same supplier. They will range from good to quite fancy and will be fairly dark in most cases and quite dense wood.
Assumming the wood is approved, we should be ready to go. These rifles will be prices , from a bit more than regular #1's up to close to $2000 (we will send in a a few quite high grade blanks) Once its 100% approved, we'll start taking deposits. Other than perhaps a sequence of serials and the wood, these should be dtandard 1-A's. Only other thing we are currently looking at is a 24" barrel instead of the 22". It would still carry very well, of course.
Suggestions appreciated!!
