Bought myself a new rifle for Christmas and went to the range yesterday to try it out.
Tried 4 different loads with 110 gr Hornady Vmax with H4831SC
57.5gr, 58.5gr, 59.5gr and 60.5 gr.
The load data I have for 110 gr jacketed bullets lists 58-62 grains of H4831. I planned on working from .5 grain over minimum to .5 grain under maximum but I could not fit more that 61 grains in the case, so I started with .5 grain under minimum and finished at 60.5.
I only had a 4.5x scope available to me at the time, but couldn't wait to try it out. The lowest load provided the best group, but I will try again with a higher magnification scope when I can. (after Christmas)
I really like the accutrigger, I think it is a very nice trigger for factory.
Here are the results @100 yards with a low power scope and shakey shooter.
All are 5 shot groups with the exception of the first being a 4 shot.
1" squares on target.
