Tavor .300 AAC Blackout converion?

I'm thinking my next project will be a new barrel for my Tavor chambered in .300 AAC Blackout. If I am correct in my understanding, the .300 Blackout round is fully compatible with 5.56mm/.223 bolts so I just need to make a new barrel.

Barrel extension will be the only difficult part but still nothing too magical. Maybe I can even source an extension from Can Am. Thoughts?
 
now that would be interesting... having a dependable N/R in 300 blackout, put me on the list for at least 1 barrel...i wonder if 300 whisper is do-able,hmmmm:cool:
 
That would be a really cool project, I think the longer barrel of the Tavor would allow a nice pressure drop by the time it left the barrel. Even with the really short barrel it would be a great suppressor host like that!
 
Definitely an interesting idea. I still keep hoping a 6.8 Tavor conversion will eventually become available, but in the meantime, I'm interested in seeing how your .300 turns out :)
 
I know this is an old thread and it may be old news but I was cruising Herron Arms web page and noticed they are prototyping a 300 Blackout Tavor Barrel.

Makes me wonder why I haven't bought a Tavor yet.

That would be sweet! Hopefully it works out as I would be in for one if they do offer it!
