I spoke to ProMag at the SHOT Show. The rep told me that this stock is designed to fit the Mini-14 Ranch rifle with the small rear sight.
Apparently (and I'm only going by what he said so don't slag me) it will NOT fit the non-ranch rifle models because of the rear sight 'ears' that stick up above the receiver. When you look at the picture you can see how this would be a problem. He told me that some people have just cut the ears off which solves the problem since BUIS can be added to the rail if you want iron sights. However, if you don't want to do that surgery then don't be surprised when the stock doesn't fit. However, on the plus side they do plan to produce a version in the next few months that will accomodate this problem and the eared models will fit in the new version.
