Precision 300win rifle : 110BA or 110 FCP HS Precision?

Seems like the FCP will have a 5 round capacity (4+1?) +- 10 pounds (according to savage 2012 catalog). Their website doesnt list it correctly.

BA: 6 rounds (5+1?), 15.75 pounds

110BA is 6-700$ more.

Would you get the 110BA or FCP HS precision?

I've got the 110 fcp hs 338lm haven't shot it yet or even mounted a scope on it. But the fit and finish are very good. Action is nice and tight. The detachable mag seems to feel a lil cheap. I believe they are an accurate mag. Don't quote me on that as I'd have to take another look at them.

the BA looks like a lot of fluff to me.

For me its a no brainer. I prefer the FCP HS style and you save dollars.

But some will prefer the style of the 110 BA and not care about the cash.

If the 300wm fcp hs also uses the aics mags then it should be 5 round.

My 110BA's mag can fit 6 rounds.

To answer your question, I have a BA. I'm going to take the UGLY rail off and use a standard one. If I could do it again I think I would pick up a FCP. But then I would have to install a adjustable cheekrest.
