sound off if you have an NEA ar on the way

Oh yeah baby it sure does. I havent got 2k rounds thru mine yet but I can tell you it is worth the wait and you are going to love it!

NIIIIICE... i cant wait to post a pic on Ar15.com of the made in canada, shorty with all the bells n whistles... then brag about not having to pay a tax stamp for it!

Then they'll show you a $15 PMAG full with 30 rounds f:P:

Sorry I'd pay a tax stamp to be able to shoot it in the woods with normal capacity mags and run a suppressor on it.

im waiting for 7.5 from tse. hopefully they have changed to a better fh due to usr feedback.

You guys won't be sorry.

Our demos have just topped the 2K round count, with out any real cleaning to make mention of.

Im in the market for an AR soon, and the NEA is near the top of my list.

Can the current owners comment on the trigger? Why do people keep complaining about them? to stiff? mushy? to much creep? heavy pull?

I have heard that the NEA have a crappy trigger, but I also thought I read on the NEA forum that they were changing them. Anyone know more about this?

cheers

Sorry for the OT question, but I hope to be posting in this thread soon as awaiting delivery :D

It is a bit stiff but I hear that this only affected the first run of guns. I just installed the JP 3.5 kit and it's nice enough now

Yup, you'll feel real good until some bastard shows you his suppressed, 10.5 inch full auto AR with a Beta-C magazine in it, right next to his collection of sub-compact handguns.:sok2

I keep reading "Pre ordered mine!", "ordered in jan", "5 more coming in" throughout various threads, and have become somewhat confused.

If I were to order a complete 7.5" from SFRC today, when could I expect it to arrive at my door?

yeah of course, but its just fun to point out the (very few and far between) areas where our gun laws make more sense then theirs... like you can own a compact, sub 5" pistol w no special permit there, but a rifle shorter then 16" (i think thats the cut off) nope, you need a special license.
and im not sure I have seen many sub 1k american made ARs on par with what you get spec wise out of a NEA, but maybe they are just well hidden.

lets work on getting suppressors, and un-neutered mags in canada though, because even before I was jealous of that stuff, three gunning it, even with lar 10 mags, is kinda silly.

I ship them out as I get them in. I think the 7.5" and 14.5" will be pretty caught up once this guns come in.

Getting everyone that pre ordered sorted is great.

But any idea of how long, rough estimate of course? fogiveing the unreliable shipping times and approval.
(I would never consider holding you to a rough estimate)

Sorry if it seems I am being overly pushy or Impatient, I just like to gather as much info as I can before making online purchases.

We're back-ordered a few thousand rifles currently, but we're committed to filling domestic commercial orders as we can. We are actually working on a plan to do a massive domestic push so we can build a inventory for you guys.

Currently we have about a 4-week lag on orders here but are closing the gap quickly.

Thats actually pretty impressive turn around, you talking notes from Toyota?

No we operate with a seat-of-our-pants, run amok approach; fueled by panic and Rolaids.

Right now we have 500+ rifles in inventory at 99% completion. We assemble as parts come off the machines and are always waiting for 'the final piece'. That's why we have been shipping in blocks. When you have that much money tied up in inventory just sitting it is a powerful motivator to keep the machines rocking on 11.

any comments of NEA even from current owners is WELCOME! I love to hear about 2k rnds w/o cleaning, and stuff like that. I was worried a bit about the 7.5 cycling properly without a piston, but sounds like NEA is backing up the products quite well,

as for modding, its gonna get an el cheapo ACOG knock off, untill i can save for a real one, and thats it, maybe Ill get the spex stock, but really, the 2" i gain may not be worth the lack of a cheek rest, but meh, can always add it when it comes out...

The SPEX PDW is more like 3-4 inches shorter than a carbine stock. The cheek rest on the stock body is fine.

I have a 6.5" AR PDW that runs just fine so i don't see why a 7.5" would have issues.
