I saw a couple last week did not shot at them as i was waiting for M. Yote, but i got 2 coyotes, before the winter end, i will take one or two for sure... Cheers. JP.

Personally I do not shoot them because I have raised them from kits and think they beautiful to watch. I shoot coyotes because they do not have any enemies and they prey on young foxes.

Is it just me and my area but are you finding the foxes being seen have unreal coats on them this year with respect to quality?? Trappers should get good prices.

Nice fox. I haven`t shot any around the farm for a while, they are just coming back in my area. Trying to concentrate on the coyotes, they cause more trouble than a fox, especialy when they get into a pack. As well as the neighbors dogs that are chasing cattle.

For those wanting more details me and a buddy were scouting some county blocks for jacks and just stumbled on two fox lying in the middle of a cleared bean field. There was a tree line about 200 yards away from their position so we snuck up to the tree line and went prone. My buddy blew his predator call a couple times to get their heads up and we shot on three, my friend missed his and I dropped mine. The next day my girlfriends uncle (who live nearby) told me he saw a fox running around like a raped ape and we figure that was the fox we missed.

As for the pelt it was sent to get tanned this week I’m excited to get it back as the fur on this one was pretty much perfect.

We never did see any jacks

WOW! Things change in 1 year on here I guess! I posted a pic of a fox I shot last winter and man did I get blasted by a whole bunch for shooting a fox! Glad to see the board has some actual hunters posting instead of the anti's it seemed to be full of last year. Congrats on a nice animal and good shot!!:)
