This company i found surfen yesterday makes new timber in American walnut for the NO5 MK1 enfield rifle thought i would post it seeing how hard it is find one.;)
It is a little shiny because it is wiped down with mineral spirits to show grain and is not finished.

Nice find, never heard of them before, thanks

These are the guys I was telling you about at the EOHC shoot that will do custom stock duplication using the customer's piece of wood. One hundred and thirty (?) US folding dollars to set up and minor additional charges as the job progresses.

Interesting - #1 Mk 3, #5, but no #4 Mk 1 wood.

I have a badly mangled #4 that I hope to convert to 45 ACP. The stock it has is seriously buggered (didn't know Bubba had a pet beaver). How hard would it be to fit a #5 stock? Any issues I'd need to know about ahead of time? The barrel will be a different dimension, so there'll be some inletting to be done, but are there dimensional differences in the receiver?

They are built on the almost the same receiver. The big difference is that the No5 has a bunch of excess steel milled off. IE, small square bit on right side of receiver, some in the socket area, some near the rear sight.

They have a new web page or site and are offering a 3 piece set for $200 your choice of wood.I sent them a e-mail but am still waiting to hear back.

And you don't get your stock back normally. If you pay extra to get it back it will be "slightly damaged". In other words they are using a pantograph duplicator and the guide tip marks your original stock.

Accuracy will not be great as a result and plenty of fitting and finishing will be required.

Their No5 handguard is wrong, although the customer could modify it to match the originals.

The $100 export restriction is the killer.:(

That $100 is just some made up thing and i have parts shipped from numrich all the time they use to have a $500 limit then they dropped it to $200 if Macon gunstocks had a problem they would of stated that when the other forum member got a price with shipping. Some of these companys and i have dealt with a few give you a big song and dance for what ever reason they have and remember it is just wood.:;):)

Check with them about the $100.00 I spoke with the Folks at Numrich gun Parts and they can ship up to $200.00 to Canada

I had ordered a 1907& a 1910 winchester sl wood sets from them late last year and early this year and each set was aprox 180 us and no issues

I get the same response from anyone that deals with them i just wish they made a stock for the SAFN 49 rifle but i found another place only a little more money for there's.
