Hello!

I'm looking for a Shotgun. And I'm interested to reduice recoil. So I have two question:

1 : Did Muzzle Brake work with ShotGun?
2 : Did Recoil Reducing stock work also?
3 : If yes to any of those questions, what model did you recomande to me?

Thank you in advance!

I have a Norinco 870 clone with a Knoxx recoil-reducing stock. If it works, it's not enough for me to tell the difference (assuming I'm using it properly...) so I wouldn't really recommend that unless you just want a pistol grip adjustable stock. I also have a Remington 887 NitroMag Tactical which is slightly lighter, so "should" kick harder. It is equipped with a SuperCell recoil pad (just a nice thick, soft pad on the stock) and I feel this is much more effective than the Knoxx to reduce perceived recoil.

I can't comment on any other recoil-reduction devices because I haven't used any. I haven't used a muzzle brake on a shotgun, but I don't imagine it helps much, if at all.

Mesa LEO stock with Enidine buffer is the best. It is also not the cheapest, but the best rarely is. Lots of people will suggest the Knoxx/Blackhawk one. I had it, and then sold it after I got the Mesa.

Thank You!

Now I need to chose the unrestricted Black ShotGun.... I feel it will be more complicated than choising a unrestricted Black Riffle. lol

Too many models, too many variations, too much choice...

Thank you again

get the 870. by far the best (Enter Mossy lovers lol)
the Remington 870 and the mossy 500 series seem to be the most affordable gun to mod.

i was about to do a tack build with a adjustable stock, 14" barrel and ghost ring sights.
$250 for the action
$150 for the barrel
$250 for the stock
$ unknown for the sights..

Benelli nova pump tactical is $750... has it all...and probably the same price by the time you finish it.

your other option is to buy a Chinese one with the sights on it for $309, its interchangeable with rem 870 parts.
im debating on if i should to the build ,benelli or not... i want to, but i have guns that are higher on my wish list.

Hitting the bench press helps :p "am kidding lol"

I would go with the Mesa recoil stock or just get a semi

You might be surprised just how well limbsaver pads work, I was amazed. The only thing to remember is to not pull it into your shoulder as this compresses it and eliminates the progressive shock absorption. sparq, this may help with your Knoxx stock as well

Yeah, after seeing how well the pad on my 887 works (not a Limbaver by brand, but same idea) I've been thinking about getting one to put on my Knoxx, though I'm not sure what I'll ever really use the Norc for unless my Remington breaks ;)

I also love those Remington reduced-recoil slugs and buck.

Thank You EZ8 for the gun Info. It's apreciated. There is so much kick Ass Shot Gun on the market...

I think I will go with a recoil stock with a Pad. limbsaver (or supercell) + Enidine buffer.

I know Semi-Auto have less recoil than a pump action, but is there so much difference??? I only shot Pump Action.

this shooters friend is 100% the best recoil reducer i have ever used. they are rated at-70% but i would say its more like -90%. for $20 you cant beat it plus you can take it off and switch it from gun to gun. i never shoot with out it.

I've also got the remington supercell on my 870 synthetic stock (couldn't find a limbsaver for synthetic) and it is amazing.
My first day on the range I threw 80+ sabots at the paper with the cheap remington rubber butpad...my shoulder was purple the next day ( yes 80 rounds is a lot...I wanted to play with my new toy lol)
Next time @ the range I had the remington supercell which is $20 @ elwood epps, threw another 80 or so @ the paper... Ya I felt it but I wasn't purple.

I ended up buying the remington sps stock for $65 @ epps after and it came with another supercell pad, shouda just bought that kit to begin with.
The stock isn't the most tactical looking at all, but for shootability I really like it.
I think I'm going to get the Hogue stock next and toss it on another 870.
