Has anybody ever bought lead for casting bullets from a company in the States called Rotometals. They claim they ship to Canada all the time. I seen there avertisement on Cast Boolits site. Just curious if anybody has bought from them, as wheel weights are getting scarcer all the time.

If you a internet search and include Canada in the search terms you will find several companies selling lead or lead alloy tin

ht tp://www.canadametal.com/
ht tp://www.alchemycastings.com/lead-products/bullet.htm
if you do your own search you might find one close to you

To be cost effective you might have to buy 200- 1000 lb

As of yesterday, Rotometals has free shipping of pure lead bars within the US if your order is at least $99.00. If you live near a US border town, that may be a option for you. Companies such a Ship Happens caters to Canadians.

I also just found a local (for me) company that sells pure lead. Purity Casting Alloys in Surrey, BC. I will be checking them out later today.

Purity is good if you want them to mix the lead and tin if you don't have time do do it yourself. I've used them in the past. They buy their pure lead ingots from Metalex in Richmond though. Cheaper to go to the source :)

Chris.
