Just arrived today - got it in trade for another rifle, so will be testing it tomorrow. Now I just need to refinish the metal parts of the gun in black to match the stock!

And, of course, I have to make room in the safe, so it can join its two siblings

Tested it out today; ran great for about 100-150 rds, then the trigger stopped doing anything, with the striker locked to the rear... I think I have the dreaded Gremlin! So, now going to figure out how to get the striker forward so I can open it up to see what went wrong. Good thing I like to tinker with stuff!

Still happy with the gun, just need to get it running smoothly

let me know what your doing with the tan pieces when your ready id be interested in them. i live in abbotsford, im assuming your in the west with by your location lol and close enough i could grab them from you. ive got all the black fab d now but would like to also have the desert tan. thanks

If you want a cheap upgrade, go buy some pipe insulator for your folder.
Its 100x more comfortable and for me gives me the perfect cheek rise.

I'm actually keeping the FAB tan stuff for this rifle, I'm just painting all of the metal on the rifle black, rather than the unpleasant grey it is right now... I think the black and tan will look sweet. Sorry if that was unclear above!

Your rifle is actually the one I wanted, to have a barrel length between my subcompact and my non-restricted... care to trade your 11-inch carbine for my 15 inch one with all the FAB stuff?

Refinished all the metal on the 'new' vz58 in black, and put the Galil stock, black furniture and other accessories off my 858 on this one The 858 now sports the tan furniture... I think they both look pretty good.
