This was after one ftf on the second round... and that the fourt round fired from a brand new gun! The barrel and gas asembly went like 20 feet down range!

Well the food news is the dealer that sold it to me was more then helpfull, second time I deal with them and will never ever esatate to buy from them, they are awsome and I got a full refund! There great.

Hmmm,

For starters I'm really glad that you're okay.

I'm really interested in what might have caused that failure, especially since I'd been planning on placing an order the past several days but had simply been distracted by other commitments.

Was there anything unusual about the ammo, shape of spent cases, etc?

Glad you are ok!

Can you give us a bit more info so we can understand what happened?
Were these factory, milsurp or reloads?

You say you had a FTF but all the brass in your pic has been fired. The brass stuck in the chamber is bulged, is it possible that the second FTF left something in the bbl that resulted in obstruction and this resulted in failure?
Thanks

Lets just say there was ALOT more kick in the fourt round!!!... I had a friend ou was a firstimer and he was on the laine next to me shooting my 10/22... he almost s*** his pants!

It is interesting that when the barrel fractured, the pressure was so low that the case did not rupture.
Did the bullet exit the barrel?
First and third rounds fired normally, ftf (feed or fire?) on the second, broken barrel on the fourth?
It would seem that this was not a pressure issue.
Wonder if so much torque was applied when the barrel was installed that it was cracked.

Well its not the ammo, I fired 200+ round of the norinco surpluss throu my rfb with out any problem!

I think it was a barell defect as every round fired had the same pressure line getting worst every round!

OMG... I hope all are safe and uninjured!

This is not a funny situation. We will need more information before all kinds of conclusions will be made. Hopefully (not a good time to joke about ####(s) falling off, btw) we can get this unit replaced!

Cheers,
Barney

Everyone is fine! I got what I wanted a full refund!

HOLY CRAP !!! :eek:Glad you are OK.
That is one scary pic !!

To Roberti11 ...the ammo looks like the steel jacketed non-corrosive surplus ammo that was part of the first ammo and Shorty deal .

To the other OP who asked ...the ammo looks like the steel jacketed non-corrosive surplus ammo that was part of the first ammo and Shorty deal

Yes and about the ammo it is actualy preatty acurate in my rfb!

So some of the ammo fired before the failure showed a pressure line at that same spot ??. Wow ...I still cant get over what happened.Amazing you were not hurt really.

And I have fired a couple hundred rounds of the same stuff with no issues .
