A friend has a NIB unfired John Wayne, with box of ammo.He is looking to sell but needs to know what it is worth.I was told there are a couple of handling marks.I do not have pictures or I would post them.
What do you think?

John Waynes are one of the nicer Commemoratives with the big Loop and silver receiver, stock medallion, nice wood and can go for $900+, they are chambered in .32/40 and would sell best with a box of the matching Comm. 32/40 ammo and orig. box rifle came in.IMHO
This is one of the few that I think will appreciate over time.

Thanks Ben,that is what he has.

Jon Wayne commemoratives usually sell for a premium compared to the run of the mill commemoratives--but must be unfired, all the original packageing, etc. in excellent condition in order to draw top price.

Which version

The JW came in Canadian version 1 of 1000, and the USA version 1 of 25000. The Canadian is worth almost double the American version. FS
